    I. Student volunteering programmes

    1. 52nd Voluntary Blood Donation Drive – Community Health Partnership (2025)

On the morning of April 25, 2025, the Youth Union – Student Association of Lac Hong University (LHU), in coordination with the Dong Nai Red Cross Society and the Cho Ray Hospital Blood Transfusion Center (Ho Chi Minh City), organized the 52nd Voluntary Blood Donation Day at Campus 3 of Lac Hong University. The event was supported by C.P. Vietnam Corporation.

More than 500 faculty members, staff, and students registered to participate in the blood donation drive. The Cho Ray Hospital Blood Transfusion Center successfully collected 340 units of blood, contributing to the supply of essential blood resources for patients requiring medical treatment and emergency transfusions.

This voluntary blood donation activity was part of a series of meaningful events commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Reunification of Vietnam (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025). Under the message “A drop of blood given – A life saved,” the programme encouraged faculty members and students to demonstrate compassion, solidarity, and responsibility toward society.

The activity also helped educate LHU students about the importance of voluntary blood donation and community service. By participating in this humanitarian initiative, students developed greater awareness of social responsibility while contributing to healthcare services and supporting patients and their families.

Through its continued collaboration with healthcare institutions, social organizations, and businesses, Lac Hong University demonstrates its commitment to SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.

    Post-event Review and Continuous Improvement

The 52nd Voluntary Blood Donation Day recorded more than 500 registered participants and 340 units of blood collected, providing measurable results for evaluating the programme's contribution to community healthcare.

These results provide a basis for LHU and its partners to review donor participation, blood collection outcomes, communication effectiveness, and event organization.

For future blood donation drives, potential improvements include strengthening donor awareness campaigns, encouraging advance registration, improving coordination during donor screening, and providing clearer guidance to participants.

Such measures can help enhance organizational efficiency, improve the donor experience, and sustain student participation in voluntary blood donation activities.
