Logistics and Supply Chain Management Students Gain Practical Warehousing Experience at Mekong Warehousing and Logistics Co., Ltd.

Integrating academic learning with industry practice is a key priority in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program at Lac Hong University (LHU). To provide students with firsthand exposure to professional working environments, enhance their understanding of industry operations, and support their career development, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting organized an industry field visit and experiential learning program at Mekong Warehousing and Logistics Co., Ltd. for students of class 25LG114.

On October 24, 2026, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University organized a field visit and practical learning program at Mekong Warehousing and Logistics Co., Ltd. The program brought together 36 students from class 25LG114, majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, accompanied by faculty members and administrative staff.

During the visit, students were introduced to the company by its representatives and had the opportunity to tour its warehousing facilities. This activity provided students with direct exposure to an authentic professional environment, allowing them to observe warehouse operations and develop a preliminary understanding of how logistics activities are organized and managed within a business setting.

Through the warehouse tour, students were able to establish meaningful connections between their academic knowledge and practical activities related to warehouse management, storage operations, inventory control, and warehouse operations management. These areas represent essential components of Logistics and Supply Chain Management education, enabling students to gain a deeper appreciation of the role of warehousing in goods distribution and the effective coordination of supply chain activities.

In addition to the facility tour, the program included an interactive discussion session during which students engaged with company representatives and raised questions about industry practices. These discussions offered valuable insights into professional working environments, technical requirements, and the competencies necessary for careers in warehousing and logistics. The experience also encouraged students to take a proactive approach to career exploration while strengthening their observational abilities, practical thinking, and professional communication skills.

For second-year students, early exposure to authentic workplace environments plays an important role in developing professional awareness and career orientation. The field visit not only reinforced their specialized knowledge but also motivated students to establish clearer academic goals, actively develop relevant competencies, and prepare for future internships, work placements, and employment opportunities.

The field visit to Mekong Warehousing and Logistics Co., Ltd. further demonstrates the Faculty of Finance and Accounting's commitment to strengthening university–industry collaboration and integrating experiential learning into the educational process. Through direct engagement with industry practitioners and professional environments, students gain valuable opportunities to deepen their understanding of logistics operations, enhance their ability to apply theoretical knowledge, and progressively develop the competencies required by the labor market.

The Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University extends its sincere appreciation to the management and staff of Mekong Warehousing and Logistics Co., Ltd. for their warm hospitality, valuable support in facilitating the facility tour, and willingness to share professional knowledge and practical experience in warehousing operations. The company's collaboration contributed significantly to a meaningful experiential learning activity while further strengthening the partnership between the university and industry in developing qualified human resources for the Logistics and Supply Chain Management sector.

For the 36 students of class 25LG114, the field visit represented more than a learning opportunity beyond the classroom. It marked an important early step toward gaining a deeper understanding of their chosen profession, fostering a proactive learning mindset, and building the knowledge and skills necessary for their future professional development.
